Interview with Bryn Ferris, co-founder of Grounded Uk

Today we interview Bryn Ferris, the Co-founder of Grounded UK, the innovative company which produces cold-pressed juice drinks, smoothies and vitamin drinks which retailers include Sainsbury’s, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Fortnum & Mason and, Daylesford Organic.

Can you tell us more about your company, it seems to be very innovative and market oriented?

Thank you to have invited me. Well, www.groundeddrinks.com is an innovative food company. Quality is very important to us considering that our retailers include big names as Sainsbury’s, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Fortnum & Mason and, Daylesford Organic.

Which kind of channels do you use to find new suppliers?

As an innovative food company Grounded was looking to source organic ingredients for new products. Online research can be frustrating. In the past it was so difficult to find reputable suppliers easily. Searching online takes a lot of time and after you have identified some of them you need to check and be sure that they are trustful and reliable.

Why is it difficult to find good suppliers?

It was often a time consuming process and in some instances the suppliers didn't seem to have the correct accreditation, with many seeming unreliable and untrustworthy. 

How did you find Ekowarehouse?

We actually stumbled across www.ekowarehouse.com while looking for yet another ingredients supplier. 

What do you like most about this platform?

It was quickly apparent that you could send off multiple requests for multipleingredients and receive genuine quotes from vetted organic suppliers within a matter of minutes. We know that suppliers are all verified and this is very important to us.

Is the fact that Ekowarehouse is for certified organic suppliers only important to you?

Trusting the origin and quality of any organic supplier (especially the other side of the world) is sometimes tough but Ekowarehouse had done a great job of weeding out the bad ones, and providing information on the top suppliers (with the right certification) for literally any ingredient you might need.
