Interview with Hamza Kayani Director of Chanar Sugar Mills, Producer of Certified Organic Brown Sugar

Can you tell us something about your products and why they are unique? 

Thanks you first of all. Well, Chanar Sugar Mills Limited is catering for major multinational companies  who follow very stringent quality standards and internal controls, therefore, as a company policy we adhere to parameters defined by the buyers. The management of the company took an initiative to promote organic farms to produce organic brown sugar. 
It was an uphill task to ensure that the end product is free of pesticides and any other chemical agents. Our team remained engaged with Control Union for about two years and it was under their guidance and monitoring that we were approved for organic certification.

Our products are given preference by the buyers because of our consistent quality. We have a dedicated and committed team which always remains vigilant to meet with any challenges for compliance of certifications and the quality. We are constantly engaged in R&D for the best possible results.

In which country do you sell or would you like to sell?

We are currently exporting to Middle East, EU, Far East, Australia and Canadafor the past 3 years. We would like to market in the USA or any other country which may be interested in our product.

Which is the typical buyer type that searches for your products?

We have seen interest coming in from buyers who are making organic products and want to use organic sugar as one of their ingredient.
